    I recently purchased these alligator clips to complement my Brymen meter. The product is great and arrive very swiftly. It is a shame that Telonic don’t appear to have a low cost postage option to cater for these small parts. The clips cost lets than £4 but delivery was nearly £6 and came in a huge box. They could have just been in a small padded bag and sent ‘large letter’ for a pound or two.

    My first set of alligator clips for a DMM so I can’t compare with past experience. That said, they look to be of good quality, and have been helpful when checking the resistance of through-hole metal film capacitors.

    These clips are good for general testing where another set of hands would be useful but are not available – simply clip to the component leads and you can go back to the instrument to carry out your checks. They slide onto the test lead contact pins with a satisfying tightness that leaves you assured they are well connected. My only slight negative is that the jaws clamping strength is quite light, maybe some slightly stronger springs here and they would be perfect, but otherwise they fit the requirements very well and are also very well insulated with the removable red and black sleeves.

    These are a push fit into the Brymen 257s meter probes (with the guards removed) and do the business. I’ve been using them today and I like them a lot, especially for this price.

    Very well protected and insulated, no chance of touching anything they shouldn’t do.
