Kikusui TOS5403 6kV DC Hipot and 10GΩ Insulation Resistance Tester

The Kikusui TOS5403 is a DC-only electrical safety tester combining DC hipot and insulation resistance testing. It provides DC withstand voltage testing up to 6kV at 10mA, together with insulation resistance test voltages from 25V to 1000V and measurements up to 10GΩ.

Designed particularly for batteries, photovoltaic systems and other DC applications, the TOS5403 avoids the unnecessary cost and complexity of an AC withstand voltage function where only DC testing is required. Its compact design and 7-inch touchscreen make it well suited to laboratories, quality assurance departments and production inspection systems.

The adjustable discharge detection function can identify momentary discharges and high-frequency components associated with arc and corona activity. Forced discharge following DC hipot or insulation resistance testing helps remove residual charge from capacitive devices under test, while LAN, USB and RS-232C interfaces support automated test integration.
