The MICROTEST 8761NAC-64P is a 64-pin 4-wire USB Type-C cable and connector tester with continuity measurement from 1 mΩ to 52 Ω. Separate current and voltage-sense connections reduce the effect of fixture lead resistance when checking low-resistance conductors and contacts. It combines AC Hipot testing up to 700 V with DC Hipot testing up to 1 kV, insulation resistance covering 0.1 MΩ–1.2 GΩ, open/short testing, intermittent-fault detection and resistor, capacitor and diode checks. USB-C functions include automatic connector-orientation detection and checks on Ra resistors, filter capacitors and isolation diodes. An optional FX-000C28 or FX-000C28C expansion box is required for 5 A voltage-drop testing and E-marker VDO reading. The 64-pin configuration suits USB-C assemblies with fewer required test points. Storage for up to 500 test files and RS-232, USB Host, printer and remote interfaces support repeat production work.
